West Hampstead Community Food Hub
The West Hampstead Community Food Hub based at the Sidings Community Centre supports over 100 local families with a weekly food bag.
Here’s how you can help:
Donate Food:
We are continually grateful for donations of
non-perishable food (in particular cereal, long-life milk, tinned tuna, pasta, rice, pasta sauce).
You can drop donations at any of these local venues:
• Little Waitrose: 319 West End Lane
(any time they’re open)
• Paramount Properties: 150 West End Lane
(Mon to Fri 9am-6pm)
• Emmanuel Church: Lyncroft Gardens
(Thur 10am-12 & 5:30pm-7:30pm)
• Sidings Community Centre: 150 Brassey Road
(Fri 6pm-7pm)
Donate Funds:
We rely on regular donations from the community to:
• Buy fresh fruit and veg to include in all food parcels
• Supplement donations of non-perishable food
If you’re able to make a regular donation you can set up a standing order
via the Sidings Just Giving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/sidingscc
Or you can also make a one-off donation via our Food Hub Just Giving page
here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/whcfh
Volunteer:
If you’d like to volunteer, send your name, and mobile number to whcfoodhub@gmail.com and we’ll add you to the WhatsApp group we use to
coordinate volunteering

Notice to all Parents & Carers using Sidings Adventure Soft-Room
Notice to all Parents & Carers using Sidings Adventure Soft-Room
As we all know, the coronavirus COVID19 is spreading throughout the UK and various steps are being recommended to help delay the spread of the virus.
Therefore Sidings Community Centre has taken the decision to close the Adventure Soft-Room Drop-in sessions until after the Easter Holidays. We know this will be a big disappointment to children and parents/carers. However we felt that this was a responsible action, a preventative step in the interests of the health of young children and their families.
Whilst we have had NO direct incidences of any COVID19 or contact being reported at the centre, we considered this to be an appropriate preventative course of action.
We aim to re-open the Adventure Soft-Room after the Easter School Holidays, depending on the situation and further public health advice, which will be on Tuesday 21st April. During this time we will take the opportunity to clean the soft-room equipment so it will be fresh and ready for use for everyone.
Please check on our website after the Easter Holidays to confirm re-opening time on www.sidings.org.uk.
In the meantime we say to everyone “Stay well, take care and Happy Easter”
Yours sincerely,
Sue Measures,
Centre Manager.
