It’s Spring and we hope the grip of the pandemic is slowly lifting.
From 24th Feb most of the remaining COVID related restrictions are to be removed.
However, Sidings will continue to work safely with COVID – recommending that people using our premises and activities continue to wear face masks when moving amongst shared spaces where they are likely to be in close proximity to others. We will continue to request that everyone in the building uses hand-sanitisers frequently, and observe respectful distance from others when in classes. As with all good health guidance, we would ask that anyone with possible COVID related symptoms, and tests positively for COVID, does not attend our activities. We would recommend for the time being that Lateral Flow tests are taken twice weekly if possible until the end of March, although this is no longer compulsory. For children, parents and staff in our nursery – all current guidelines for Early Years settings will apply.
Like many other similar centres, Sidings will be reviewing, rebuilding and resetting our programme of activities in the coming months, taking on board some of the priorities which have emerged during the pandemic. We will be consulting with the community to find out what’s important for them, starting with a Community Conversation on Thursday 24th February.
We hope to start regular newsletters in future, and from Easter onwards invite people to join our mailing list for news and updates.
For now – let’s hope winter is nearly over and look forward to more activities opening up soon.
Sidings Community Centre Annual Report 2021 is now on the website, outlining the events and activities of the last 12 months.
