Adult Community Education

Sewing  Make & Mend Short Course

(run by Westminster Kingsway College)

Mondays 10am – 12.30pm

Learn machine and hand embroidery techniques by contributing to a group project or come with your own ideas of what you would like to make, mend or alter.

Bring your own materials to upcycle.  

A Free course for people over 19 who are carers, people with disabilities or 60+.
There is a £5 contribution to resources used on the course.

Learning through Music, Rhyme and Rhythm

(run by City Lit College)

Mondays 9.30am – 12pm

Free fun course for you and your child. For parents, carers and children 18 months and above.
(younger siblings also welcome). Come along each week to take part in creative and musical activities with your child to help them build confidence and develop communication skills.

Employability with English (FREE)

(run by Working Mens College)

Mondays:  1pm – 3pm

On this course you will develop your skills in the following:

  • English for the workplace
  • CVs and job applications
  • Interview skills            
  • Team working

Childcare Level 2  (FREE for those on Benefits)

(run by City Lit College)

Tuedays 9.30am – 4pm

(Classes do not run during the half term, although you will need to attend a one to one tutorial)

Accredited Course to prepare you to work with children aged between birth and five years, with knowledge of children up to seven years old. Assessment is in a form of a portfolio and practical observations of you with the children. You will be given homework to complete for your portfolio and your tutor will provide you with written and verbal feed back regularly.

Once you have achieved this award you can apply for assistant type positions in the childcare field or you can progress on to a Level 3 childcare qualification.

Level 1 Award in Employability Courses

Browse and search the web more effectively, save time and money online. Setup and use an email account.

Wednesday Morning Class 10am – 12pm

Tablets and Mobile Devices for Beginners

(run by Adult Community Learning in Camden)

Use your Android mobile phone and tablet. Log on to WIFI, Download apps, search the WWW, watch videos, take photos. Bring your own Android device. No experience of mobile devices necessary.
