EVERYDAY MATHS

Enjoy learning Maths in a friendly informal environment at:

FRIDAYS 10am – 12pm

(Free Course – Term Time only)

  • Suitable for parents wanting to improve their maths skills to help their children (limited crèche facilities for under 5’s)

  • Ideal for anyone wanting to develop their basic maths skills

  • Helpful for any adults who may need a maths qualification to enhance employment prospects


All participants will work towards a recognised skills certificate.


This course will be suitable for those at Entry 2 to level 2, were you will learn:

  • basic Maths skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

  • numbers (odd, even, prime, square and negative)

  • estimation, place value, rounding numbers, sequencing numbers

  • mental arithmetic

  • fractions, decimals and percentage

  • shapes (triangles, square etc)

  • measurement of length (kilometres, metres and centimetres)

  • weights (kilograms, grams, pounds)

  • measurement of liquids (litres, millilitres)

  • measurement of volume, area and perimeter
